Kenji is probably better than any of thse, but I like Barrett a lot as a potential breakout. Also, keep an eye on Chris Ianneta from Colorado. He could be huge this year (like top 3 catchers good).

Posada and/or Piazza is a better pick. Both are projected to have 20 something homers and about 70-90 RBI. Good numbers for a catcher.

Johjima has a lot of upside, but at this point is really unproven. Jorge Posada is getting a little older, but should still provide 20+ homers and a lot of run production, just for being in that vaunted Yankee lineup. He would be my first choice. I also like Piazza, because he is now going to be doing a lot more DHing, which should help his health and longevity. Plus his numbers weren't too bad last year on a weak offensive team.

Kenji has great potential this year, as well with Barrett. I would hold onto Kenji for the first few weeks of the season. If it isn't working, you still have a wide variety of catchers to choose from the free agent list.
In my opinion, I would've asked how catchers like AJ and Jorge aren't taken.

I would stay with Kenji if I had him, he had pretty decent numbers last year and will only get better. If you have to dump him I would pick up Piazza, he will be Oakland's DH and still has a little pop left in his pat.
Hope this helps!

i have self assurance you won't be able to locate a more beneficial useful catcher than Kenji Johjima in the loose agent. each body may be in a slump, yet as you will discover maximum of the eastern gamers get by it speedier. BTW, in the finest 8 video games, Johjima has in undemanding words one strike outs. he continues to be making contact, so do not problem about him for now.

Johjima, Barrett, Martin, LoDuca, and Posada are all closely grouped among the 2nd tier of catchers. For me "might be slightly better" isn't worth losing waiver priority.

pick up piazza he doesnt have to catch this year so his legs should be fresh and thats a big part of hitting. plus you can use him at 1b or dh if you have it. he hit 283 with 22hrs and 63 ribs last year catching so think what he can do this year.

Barett beeing on the waiver wire is pretty crazy, same with hernadez. Even so, i am not sure if they are better than johjima.

I would pick up Hernandez because he's basically his team's whole offense
