The homeless, starving, and very low-income people within our own country, first. Then, the same population in all other countries. The reason is obvious--in this, the 21st Century, no one should be suffering for reasons such as those.

Welfare, I live in one of the richest countries in the world yet our welfare system is one of the worst. No one seems to understand that "equal opportunity" is a myth and that success is highly influenced by what social class one is born into, and while there are people that abuse the welfare system, they are a minority.
There is not reason to condemn others to poverty because a few want a free ride. Living on welfare isn't easy or comfortable, but sometimes families need it to get back on their feet. I love how the U.K. has public health services, or how some countries require that all employees receive six weeks paid vacation a year. Many more people would support welfare if it were used to aid the majority rather than the minority.

Organ donation because an organ donors are among the people who make the greatest contributions to society. Their selfless choice to donate their organs provides the possibility of extended life for thousands and thousands of people who would otherwise die. And they also provide for the treatment of thousands of others who would otherwise have a greatly diminished quality of life.Organ donors are true humanitarians who considered in life others who could benefit from their deaths.
To be honest I must say I am a cardiac transplant recipient, however I no less celebrated the the great contribution made by organ donors before that.
