i dont know of any sites. but i myself played point guard during my days in high school. each year my team was successful and id like to think i had some things to do with that!!!!

basically as the pg u set the tone for your teams offence. u need to understand who likes the ball where and what the persons strengths are as a player in certain spots on the floor. this will come with time as u practice with your team.

you need to be able to slide your feet defensively and guard ur man if your playing man to man. in zone defence u need to be able to keep your hands moving to make it hard for passes to get inside. once a steal takes place u need to either get the ball and push it up fast, or you yourself run up the floor. being able to switch from defence to offence is a must.

the ability to dribble the ball and protect it is important. no coach will have a pg who throws the ball away. so practice dribblin with both hands. practice playing against an imaginery person where by u move and act in game speed.

be able to drive hard to the basket. when u drive u can do 3 things....either...drive and dish to a shooter, drive and lay it off to a big man inside, drive and shoot yourself.

be able to hit the outside shot. extending the defence means opponents cant put too much pressure on the big guys.

overall u need to have hustle, a good handle and a good basketball knowledge of when to throw a pass and when to hold it an extra second or two

dude you are a POINT GUARD. you should know the fundamentals of it. you are the leader of the team. run the show. know when to run or when to slow it down. yes dribbling, scoring, rebounding, and defense are important. make everyone better around you. your not magic johnson so every pass doesn't need to be amazing. hit the open man every time and fancy passes will come. you need to develop a high iq of basketball. for example you see a a player on your team has a mismatch, so tell him to get the ball and score. be a player's coach. don't ignore the coach and play your own game. over time get to trust the coach and the team will be yours to run.

You need to study your teammates' ability to receive passes - what kind of passes each one is best suited to receive(Here we stress bounce passes as they are the easiest type of pass for everybody to catch.). You also need to become aware of WHERE on the court each player is capable of receiving a pass and not be forced into a turnover - especially on fast break opportunities. For example, you wouldn't necessarily want to give either your center or your strong forward the ball too far away from the basket only to see them "walk" with it because they lack ball-handling skills. On the other hand, you don't want to give them the ball underneath the backboard where they have no opportunity fo a shot.

And, as a point guard, your ball-handling skills must be without peer. And your defensive skills must also be top-notch.

Good luck!

all the other posts are great tips - my advice would be to watch lots of Phoenix Suns games, and watch what Steve Nash does. There are a lot of subtle things about the position that he does better than anyone else going around at the moment (these are less about skills and more about opening up the court and awareness of teammates).

Practice your dribbling this should take a while but nothing will happen over night, learn to be fast, to find open spaces angles and anticipating plays before they developed, you do this you will be a lot better the rest will come as you go

First of all just study Steve Nash. You have to be a good dribbler, yuo have to be fast, you have to be an accurate shooter, you have to be a good passer, and you have to have a good sense of what is going on at all times on the court.
