My period is light for one day, EXTREMELY heavy for 2 days, and light for 2-3 more days. Then, out of the blue, I have brownish spotting 2 or 3 days, even up to 7 or 8 days later. I feel like I need to wear panty liners every day of the month because I never know when the spotting will happen. What is going on? This has been happening for the past 19 months (since my 3rd child was born). Once, my period lasted 12 days.

Consult a doctor. Could be fibroids. They can cause bleeding and spotting between periods. I experience the same thing due to fibroids. Don't be afraid, just get checked out.

yeah it can happen at times the cure would be going on the pill a couple months you can ask your doc if you want. Or just bear with it thats about all that can be done your system is just a little out of wack (its not dangerous in anyway just really annoying)
