Well, it all depends on what order you want to read them in and if you are interested in reading the new Dune novels by Frank Herbert's son, Brian.
So decide, do you want to read them in order of publication or chronologically, all the Dune books or just those by Frank Herbert? I have placed both orders below in full (including the book coming out this fall) with which Herbert authored it.
By Chronology:
The Butlerian Jihad, Brian Herbert
The Machine Crusade, Brian Herbert
The Battle of Corrin, Brian Herbert
House Atreides, Brian Herbert
House Harkonnen, Brian Herbert
House Corrino, Brian Herbert
Dune, Frank Herbert
Dune Messiah, Frank Herbert
Children of Dune, Frank Herbert
God Emperor of Dune, Frank Herbert
Heretics of Dune, Frank Herbert
Chapterhouse: Dune, Frank Herbert
Hunters of Dune, Brian Herbert
The Road to Dune, Brian Herbert
Sandworms of Dune (September 2007), Brian Herbert
By Publishing:
Dune, Frank Herbert
Dune Messiah, Frank Herbert
Children of Dune, Frank Herbert
God Emperor of Dune, Frank Herbert
Heretics of Dune, Frank Herbert
Chapterhouse: Dune, Frank Herbert
House Atreides, Brian Herbert
House Harkonnen, Brian Herbert
House Corrino, Brian Herbert
The Butlerian Jihad, Brian Herbert
The Machine Crusade, Brian Herbert
The Battle of Corrin, Brian Herbert
Hunters of Dune, Brian Herbert
The Road to Dune, Brian Herbert
Sandworms of Dune (September 2007), Brian Herbert
Hope that helps. I happen to love the Dune's by Frank Herbert, but have not read any written by his son, Brian. But a word of caution. While the first Dune is well liked by most readers, the rest get extremely complicated as they go on. I have met very few people that have read and liked all of the originals. I did, but I enjoy all the complicated characters, twists, turns and political intrigue.

The first book is Dune, plain and simple. The following book is Dune Messiah and then Children of Dune and God Emperor of Dune. They're all great.
And nowadays, we have a new Dune series by Kevin J. Anderson and Frank Herbert's son, Brian Herbert. The original 'new' books were House Atreides, House Harkonnen and House Corrino. After this, they wrote a 'prelude' series to "Dune", which took place years before the original Dune. The series began with "The Butlerian Jihad", carried onto "The Machine Crusade" and ended with "The Battle of Corrin."
All are great to read. -kaedajnor

The first novel was simply called Dune.
The first link below sets out the first 6 books by Frank Herbert.
The rest of the Dune novels are by his son, Brian and Kevin Anderson (second link).

Here's a list of the "Classic Dune" novels.
1.Dune
2. Dune Messiah
3. Children of Dune
4. God Emperor of Dune
5. Heretics of Dune
6. Chapterhouse: Dune
To me, I think the rest written by Frank Herbert's son is mostly mindless junk, and by reading those, they will make you think less of Dune.

I'm pretty sure the first is simply called "Dune". The author is Frank Herbert. After Frank died his son Brian took over and I think Brian Herbert's work is better.
I'd recommend the trilogy that begins with "The Butlerian Jihad". I think the story takes place about ten thousand years before the original Dune. It is excellent science fiction. Go for it.

Dune, followed by Dune Messiah if I remember correctly, it's been forever since I read them. But Dune is definitely number 1
