my volume icon has been deleted. i have no sounds. where can i find device mixers?

i have no sounds ..all sounds are gone. no device mixers can be found..i tried everything to try to fix this problem? i went to control panel & couldn't do anything. plz help ..thank you!!

1. Restoring the volume icon in the Tool Bar:

Control panel
Category view
Sounds, Speech and audio
Adjust the sound volume
Tick the box: "Place volume icon in task bar"

2. No Sounds

Control Panel

Adjust the sound volume
Ensure the tick has been removed from the mute box

Ensure your speakers are plugged in and turned on, ans still plugged into your system.

3. No Sound mixer

Control panel
Category view
Sounds, Speech and audio
Change speaker setting
Audio Tab
Ensure your sound mixers are all correctly selected in the drop down menus

The best thing to do , through control panel, is to go to your device manager and ensure that your sound card is still active. A yellow exclamation mark will tell you something is wrong. Clicking the mark will run a trouble shooter to fix the errors.

You may also want to search for the latest sound drivers for your system.
