It's a Asylum GeForce 5200FX 256MB AGP card.

The screen is black after I insert the card in the AGP slot and start the computer, but when I remove it and cut the computer back on, the screen is fine.

You didn't mention you installing the DRIVERS for the video card.

Or *IF* your computer had a built-in video card or a removable video card.

In either case you need to UNinstall the drivers for the OLD video card, BEFRE installing the drivers for the NEW video card.

Also, depending on your computer, you may have to go into the BIOS and turn off the built-in video card

you have to go into bios (usually F2 after power on) and set it to read the AGP port instead of the internal vga port. Then you \'ll be fine

check that u install the driver if u install it.............check ur AGP to ur local vendors.
