Im 8 1/2 months pregnant and I've had two false labors this last month, my gynecologist told me that the fathering sperm actually induces labor and if I could make it to try to keep having sex up until my due date, he said it will help make me labor much easier... My husband and I dont mind we love having sex together, but I really would like opinions from other mothers.. You know this is my first child and Im scared wicked!!

ive heard this yet it didnt help with my first baby who i had 2 be induced at 14days post dates. Intercourse is thought to help bring on labor. The sperm contains prostaglandin which can help soften the cervix. It's suggested that you use a position that will encourage the semen to pool at the cervix. some people sware by the fact that this really does work if it works 4 you thats gota be good keep having sex n e thing gota be beter than the pains you get from induction.

I think it varies in how much it helps from person to person. But they do say that it helps.
