What kind of dance are you referring to? The only studio I know in NY is named Ballroom on 5th, it is pretty good but hey you came to Manhatten - you are in the right place. Search http://www.accessdance.com/dance_lessons/ or http://www.ballroomdancers.com/Directory/Default.asp for a local studio.

The ballroom world seems sometimes to be flooded with Russian emigrants, especially in the New York area. You might start with the major franchise studios, and you can access both Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray studios on line, with studio locators on their websites.
