If I move out of my house with my husband, can I go apply for child's support?

Or do I have to wait to file for a divorce?
I have been married for 12 years now.
My husband and I cant seem to get along.
I have been threaten and verbally abuse for the last 6months.

you dont need to be divorced to collect child support... the divorce will come later. just contact your county court house and ask where you go to apply for child support. they will walk you through all of the paperwork (its easy) and the support hearing will be set. the court will calculate it, and order it. payments begin immediately, you recieve them a few weeks later.

if he threatens you, get a FRO (final restraining order or order of protection or what ever its called in your state).

make SURE in your divorce you have that you can claim the children on taxes (if you are working), college expenses paid for the children, child support continueing while the children are in college, and split medical expenses.

Get your phone book and call a domestic abuse hot-line. They can direct you to their legal aid department. The rules for divorce and child support are different in different places. Also, if you meet certain income guidelines, they may be able to help you get a divorce started for little to no cost to you.
