In Nhl 07 when your player feels that he is being "low-balled" and refuses to negotiate with you further, how can you sign him back onto you team?

In most EA games, if a player thinks he is being cheated, you have to offer him A LOT of money to get him back, they usually don't like to be locked up for years but offer around 3. Trust me on this one
