I looked at some of the stupid posts on past questions regarding the Indians. Their starting pitching was called pathetic-in reality it is completely solid. The bullpen is the key spot-but I think vast improvement was made. The offense is tops in the A.L. without question-the starting pitching is in the top 3-4 easily. If the bullpen comes together I don't see any reason they don't make a run. As far as Minnesota and Chicago-as an Indians fan I have no concerns with the Twins-and the Indians proved last year they can play with Chicago. Detroit is the puzzler-can those guys repeat career years-will pressure of defending the A.L. Central be too much. Consider this--NOBODY considered Detroit contenders last year-how is it that Cleveland who won 93 games in 2005 can't be considered this year??? More talent for sure.

I, for one, have NOT written off The Cleveland Indians.

The people that do probably havent been paying close attention to what they did, and how much they have improved during the winter.

Grady Sizemore will have a great year, as will Travis Hafner.
The Indians will be contenders all season, along with Minnesota, Chicago & Detroit.

Regardless of the outcome 2007 will be one of the most exciting seasons in a while. I think it will be a 4 way race for The AL Central Division Title.

I personally think that whoever gets off to a really good start will end up winning that division.

And I have a bet with another Indian fan. If Cleveland wins the division in 2007 I will sport The Indian logo until April of next year, and if Detroit wins he has to sport The Old English "D".

I cant say that I'm writing them off. As I look at the central, the Tigers simply have the best rotation by far in the division. Gary Sheffield will give them the added power that their offense needs. I'd say that the Tribe and the Tigers each have a 'wildcard'. For Cleveland-How good will Sowers be over the course of a full season? If hes as good as I've heard some trump him up to be, that will be a big boost for Cleveland. And if Chris Shelton can be a dominant hitter (I'd like to see a better thumper than Sean Casey at first), Detroits' prospects are that much better. All told, I like Detroit to win the AL Central, but if things fall right with the Indians and the Twins and the Tigers stumble, it should be a dogfight.

Im an Indians fans first off. But i love baseball and love all teams dont care who plays ill watch it. Even Kansas City
INDIANS-They have probably one of the best offenses in baseball
There Starting Pitching is Very Very good (cant wait till Adam Miller is in Cleveland man he is a nasty pitcher)
Defense sorry to say is poor poor poor that all i have to say about that(besides sizemore and the starting pitchers every position is weak at defense)
Bullpen is iffy but improved

Chicago has a very good offense, aging but good
Pitching is actually weak
Defense is above avg
Bullpen is solid

Minnesota offense is Up to par with most others come on any offense that has mauer and mourneau will be good..
Starting Pitching is just avg Ok you say the have Johan Santana but who else ill give that boof bonser will be good
If they had Liarino(sad to say he's out for the season)they would be GREAT that would be a nasty one two punch.
Defense is great
Bullpen all i have to say is NATHAN

Indians or Minnesota wins the divison and and i say the other wins the wild card

As an Indians fan I think they will contend. But like the others this is a very tough division that any of 4 teams could win. The starting pitching could be very good but must come out and prove itself to the rest of the league.

Offensively we could be the best in the league so I know we will put up runs.

Go Tribe!!!!

I really appreciate you standing up for your tribe, it just shows how much respect you have to your team.

The tribe are in one of if not THE best division and every single team is tough. Don't listen to those people who say that your team sucks because no other fans know about the Indians than the Indian fans themselves.

It's just like me and my Twins. There pitching is really off beat right now and no one considers them a threat when clearly they have some of the best players in baseball.

Don't let anyone get in your head like that, doesn't matter if it's the sports writer themselves, what do they know? Any player from any team can have a break out season and dominate.

There is a word for baseball that helps a team win games, and that word is "Fans"

AL Central Division = Best Division In Baseball!

Your not concerned about the Twins? Wow, talk about 'Why do you write off the Minnesota Twins as contenders.'

Every team is equally matched in my favor, why? Because every team wins and loses. Like for example, if the Yankees are soo good, why can't they win 162 games a season?

If the Royals are soo bad, why can't they lose 162 games a season?

I don't consider the Indians THE BEST, but they sure are a contender

every team in that division(with the exception of Kansas City) are really good. Im not counting them out i think they will have a pretty good year. I actually picked that they would be a the surprise team of AL.

I feel the same thing always happens for my Padres(and Chargers). The Padres have won 2 division titles in a row, have improving pitchers who were great last year as well (Chris Young, Cla Meredith, Clay Hensly), picked up Marcus Giles, have arguably the best overall pitching in MLB and stilll ive seen people saying they are saying they are going to be 4th in the NL west this year

No. They weren't anticipated to end above 4th place by many, many, a lot of people. they have had a warm initiate even in spite of the shown fact that it has to proceed which it won't. in basic terms because of the fact a team gets off to a warm initiate in April does no longer propose that they are valid playoff/international series contenders. they simply are not that stable. in basic terms an Indians fan might have self assurance that they are playoff/international series contenders. WTF do i comprehend? i comprehend it is April and branch's are not gained in April nor are pennant races even going precise now. Come communicate over with me in August and we will see how the Indians are doing, I assure they gained't be in opposition because of the fact they are actually not that stable, huge deal they have been given Sizemore back, he's a .270 hitter, the Indians have not have been given something to maintain them in the pennant race. huge deal they have have been given stable beginning pitching and characteristic a competent bullpen as much as now, do no longer assume it to proceed in spite of the shown fact that. it extremely is the 0.33 week of the season and that i've got seen communities have warm April's in basic terms to cave in and the Indians are not any distinctive.

they have to win thats the bottom line.in order to be the man you gotta beat the man.sports reporters say what they see,and anyway, what they say is irrelevant if your team wins.every year the yankees are picked to win it all.they havent for a while now.its because they look good on paper at the beginning of the year.
