You can get the entire "Get Smart" series from Time Life, but the original "Batman" is held up because of copyright issues

Don't know about Get Smart, but Batman's being held up due to ownership rights between Fox and Warner Bros. Fox owns the TV show, but Warners owns the character. The only thing that made it out on DVD was the old Batman movie.

I found one old (Adam West) Batman DVD at the Five Below store. That's the only one I've lucked out with so far. I've been trying to find them for my nephew.

Neither of these TV series have been released on DVD yet.

The people who are telling you you can buy Batman at various places are either referring to the 1966 MOVIE or one of the animated series.
