Try this brand: Neutrogena
It's called: MoistureShine Lip Soother
Cooling/Hydragel SPF 20
Shine 30
It really keeps my lips moist for a long while. It really last!
It feels smooth on your your lips and girl, let me tell you about the shine part! Boy does it ever. It also protects your lips from the harm full sun rays. I hope I'm not over doing it, but it just makes my lips look and feel great without the lipstick! But I don't know the price. It was a gift. Hope I helped you out!

im practically addicted to chapstick so i know the good and the bad ones.

NEVER use the candy flavored ones or the really heavily scented ones (like sweet or flavored, not carmexy)... and don't use the really skinny ones that they sell everywhere in vanilla or cherry. those cause your lips to become dependant on it and they get relaly gross after you stop using it... haha.

the best that have worked for me is blistex Silk & Shine... it makes your lips very soft and smooth and it makes them al ittle shiny so that they look irresistable, or so i've been told ;D

carmex is alright, but the smell is very pungent and strong... and any vaseline will work but its sticky adn it will come off easier when you drink out of a cup or kiss or anything.

the best i would say is the Silk & Shine and thats only 2 dollars... last time i went to get some they had a pack with a Silk & Shine and also an intense Blistex Complete moisturizing one as well which worked lovely and it was only 3 and a half dollars! what a deal!

heres what they look like...

good luckkk!!! :D

certain! pretty the honey one. i'm type of a lip balm/lip gloss junky and that is my sought after of all lip products. The honey one doesn't experience sticky in any respect and makes your lips SO gentle!

I think softlips is the best for tube kind as far as not tasting nasty. Its like 2.00. I actually am a fan of the carmex. Its 97 cents at walmart. Carmex tastes awful, but if your lips are severly chapped, its what always has worked best for me.

Mentholatum - look for that. It's medicinal and really good. Shouldn't be more expensive than other lip balms

Try one without petroleum products because petroleum only draws moisture to the surface of the skin and makes it "feel" moist when it is actually drying out your skin.

The ordinary petroleum jelly works best for me.
