Just curious as to why it seems like every time a guy starts a home project they always get it ALMOST finished then they just stop - I dont get it. My boyfriend does it, my dad and brother do it - and his brothers and dad do it - do all guys do this?

They are probably perfectionists. Perfectionists often times will start a project and once it gets to a certain point, they realize it's not turning out how they wanted, and they aren't sure how they are going to finish, so they procrastinate. Perfectionists and procrastination often go hand in hand. Or they could just go at their own pace. I bought my husband the tshirt that says, King of Unfinished Projects, but at his own pace he will eventually finish a project. I guess it's like cleaning the house, the only time I really clean is when I know people are coming over, good thing they come over often enough that my house stays decent looking! LOL

Not all guys do this. Sounds like a family trait. Offer to help him work on projects- this way you work together and get the projects finished!

Geez, and I thought my husband was the only one that did that!!!! He has about 6 projects started and unfinished. I think that some night, I'll start making dinner, then stop!! Or, I could wash his clothes and not dry them. lol I dont understand either. I guess thats why they say men are from mars and women from venus.:)

I have no idea why they never finish. My husband does it too. I have half finished patio. The only thing that needs to be done is the boards screwed down - he can't seem to find the time to do it... and I have downstairs bedroom that he started dry walling... and he's got the dry wall screwed up... but he's yet to tape and float it. :/ It's annoying.

I'm sorry about your luck. Luckily, my husband is "a man on a mission" when it comes to home renovation. He has remodeled every room in our house and doesn't stop until the job is done! I'd make a mint if I could clone him and put him on the market.
