I don't act, so I really don't know from experience, but I think they get so into the character that they can cry just out of sympathy for what's happening to their character. Also, they combine that with some sad thoughts of their own, and bam, they can cry very convincingly! I also always wondered if they use onions...?

I can make myself cry all the time. You can just think of something really sad that happened to you and let your emotions out. When movie stars do it, they pretend their problems that they are playing are for real! I know! They are good - right?! Some don't cry though. You'll notice that you don't see some of their tears coming down from their eyes. You just see them strolling down their face with a sad look to make them look like it! I hope this helps! :-)

Ok i am the master at fake crying. You have to keep your eyes open about 30 seconds before you cry. And get inot character. Feel what the charcater feels. Also if u have an acting coach ask him or her for tear stick. But that makes you cry way too much. But if you cant get the tears coming then thats wat u should do

Some actors use eye drops, to make their eyes looks red as if they have been crying, they may use the eyedrops to appear as if they are crying. Others think about something very sad that's near to their heart and just start crying or they may pinch themselves or something.others have talent to just fake a cry...like my ex girlfriends ha

Think of something that you've gone through that is very sad, like losing a loved one or a pet. Or think how you would feel if you lost the person that you love the most in this world.

If I'm really into the scene I don't have to use any special trick, it just comes to me. I try very hard to throw myself into the character and feel as though I'm experiencing the scene for the first time.

Debbie Reynolds rubbed onions on her eyes in Singin' in the Rain. After that she got lessons on how to cry on cue.

Try poking yourself in the eye or maybe have someone do it for you but it's gonna hurt and you will probably just cry anyway.

It would take a real issue to make me cry.
I can't really just make myself cry if nothing is bothering me.
