If you have been doing home gymnastics since you were much younger, then you're muscles and flexibility have a head start....
If you have not done splits, cartwheels, backbends, etc, etc. at all yet, then it will be a lot more difficult at 12 years, (if you are thinking competetive gymnastics).

yes, besause when u r that old its going to take a while to get your body used to it, and the taller and more developed u get, the harder it is. i started when i was 5 and i am now 11. theres this girl that takes gymnstics at the same time as me (but not in the same advanced class) and shes 11 too. she can hardly do a cartwheel because she just started. i bet in a couple of years the will just be getting a round-off then she ll want to quit besause thes not good. it also helps to be REALLY short. im stortest in the 4th grade but im in 5th grade!!!!!!!!

No way! I think you should do both. When cheerleading starts in highschool and you don't know a thing about gymnastics and want to join, you'll be angry you didn't. I don't know where you could go in Batan, though. Sorry.

Its a little old, but its possible. Usually it takes years to build muscles and when you are small it does not seem hopeless to be able to build the muscle. If you work hard enough, it can work out. I was thinking on starting gymnastics and I am 16. I like to do back tucks and stuff on the ground.

There is no age limit for doing gymnastics, since you are able to do it, it doesn't matter or old or how young you are, you can. Email me at ncdreamsgirl@yahoo.com
