To kill time while setting out a shower buffet, I always fall back on the 2 dice in the pie tin game. You have a lot of inexpensive wrapped prizes or even small house plants for prizes and every time some one gets a pair they take a prize. When all the prizes are taken they can steal from each other. They can only steal from those with more then one prize or they can exchange with someone who has only one prize. The game can go on for ever just keep passing the pie tin until you say stop. It can get very competitive especially if they think there is an item they really want.

1. It's cute to have baby pictures of special people from the mom's life. The mom (and the guests) have to guess who is who.

2. Start a pool on baby vital statistics (length, weight, due date, girl / boy, initial of first name, initial of middle name, etc.)

3. A funny game of scenarios - things that new mothers should know, but that the older people at the party could really help with their answers. Sort of like, "What do you do if..." You get some really funny answers, but you also get some really beneficial ones.

I don't know what it is called but I think its something like dirty diapers. You take different kind of candy bars and melt or smush them into diapers. Past them around with numbers and people have to smell it and look at it and guess what the candy is (supposed to be poop) no tasting. And when everyone put down the number and what candy they think it is, whoever got the most right wins.

honestly? no one i know likes baby shower games. my advice is to just have a lot of good food and drinks so your guests can do as they please. if you absolutely must, here is a game. each woman writes down something about themselves ... a secret or something. and you put all of the papers in something, mix them up and pass them out, read them one by one, and you have to guess who the paper matches up with. steer clear of silly games.
