Well, he did answer - so I would say, Maybe another time. But I wouldn't say anymore----to much sweetness is to sweet and if you don't hear from him then don't say another word.

If he is really busy he would not have opened his mail box .So it is only an usual excuse .
So your best reply will be :
" If you are busy , I'm so busy ."
After sending your reply you carry out your routine schedules which will take you in to more heights in life .

Find someone else who can make time for you!
Also, according to etiquette, asking someone out in an email is a bit impersonal.
