As one who experienced Michael first as the lead of the Jackson 5, then in The Wiz, and finally breaking out on his own during the Off The Wall and Thriller era.

I clearly remember observing the Young Adult areas of department stores pandering to the youth at the time by playing the then new MTV (remember when they actually played music?) on their TV sets. Most of the young ones and grown ups would not pay any particular attention to it until MJ came on, then evryone just froze in time.
MTV made MJ; MJ made MTV.

The man certainly had his childhood robbed and grew up with a distorted sense of reality in his relations with people and money.

I certainly think his best music years are behind him, most adult contemporary programmers no longer have him in active rotation claiming most folks never missed him.
Those interviews with Marty Bashir and Ed Bradley were just plain wierd, nevertheless my feelings about his past music revolve around in my disc player.

1. He's not a child molester, he was manipulated by his mean wife to gain custody of children and the media took advantage to make him look really bad
2. He had some great talent and amazing dancing skills
3. His Body Dysmorphic Disorder which needs to be treated by a psychiatrist is the reason he is getting so many plastic surgeries
4. He can't help his skin complexion, its because of his skin disease
5. He is getting treatment in Dubai (United Arab Eminities aka UAE)

The media has really downplayed him, and the paparazzis have gotten him at his worst. His words have been unfairly manipulated and his wife tried making him look bad to gain child custody. Please correct me if, I am wrong but this all to the best of my knowledge.

I used to be a huge fan during the "Off The Wall" and "Thriller" days. But not anymore. It's a shame how the mighty have fallen!

I don't know much about him,
But i doubt hes a child molestor,
I reckon people are just out to get his money,
Although he does some strange things like hang his child over a balcony.

Because he looks like a freakshow monster and has a wierd fascination toward women. He has had Elvis's daughter and she is a beauty. He is a freak. I used to love his music. I am a mom of two boys and I would have kicked his ***

I never really did like him because i thought he was creepy and all, plus i was only like 1 years old when "bad" came out... but one of my friends (who LOVES him) loaned me her "thriller" album, and now i LOVE him. i think he is one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

as for his personal life, i don't think it really matters. Take for instance, the composer Richard Wagner, he is AMAZING yet he started the rize of Nazism, published anti-Semitic essays, and inspired Hitler. Does that mean i'm going to deprive myself of his amazing music? NO!
You have to separate the art from the artist is my point!

Liked most of his work through "Thriller". After that, when he decided he needed to become a white woman, I lost all respect for him.
