When I was in High School ( Im now 30) I remember having a very vivid dream about demons. I remember everything about it from the way the wind felt , conversations and also colours that were in my dream. It was very scary and felt so real. I have often thought about it over the years. If you have the time I will tell you about it and maybe someone can shine some light on it and tell me what it means.

The dream starts with me in my bedroom, I have another friend from High School who is staying over also. In the dream I remember telling her as we are getting ready for bed that what ever she does she is not to open the curtains at anytime nor is she to look out the window. She promises me she wouldnt and so we both go to sleep. However im woken at some point in the night to my friend screaming looking out the window. I also look out only to see 3 demons looking in at us. They are just floating there. They were so real and evil. What does it mean when you dream about demons.

I had a dream about something sick before too. I guess you could call it demon.

The way to know if it is something more meaningful than just a collection of the subconscious or the sub. just trying to work out your life stress is the feeling you get. If it is a feeling that sticks around with you, is strong, and keeps you thinking about the dream then it is definitely important in a more significant way.

It really depends on your cultural beliefs what a demon would represent. It doesn't have to be an actual demon that came to you but possibly something else negative.

Many people choose to interpret dreams as symbolism. Symbolism is basically an owning of the dream. The dream is yours and you own it. All the symbols and parts of the dream were made by you and for you.
However, there is another way to interpret dreams. This way is believing that you are being given a message. That you do not own the dream but that you are receiving the dream.
Because of my cultural beliefs I interpret dreams primarily using the second method although symbolism can always be important here and there.

If you interpret you dream this way it can suggest that at the time someone was feeling very negative about you. Negative energy can be passed on to someone in many ways. It can also be very dangerous and interrupt a person's life. Notice if something triggers these memories of the dream, maybe someone is still having this negative energy for you. The best thing to do if this is true is to not give this energy any power. Don't talk about it and don't acknowledge it. Many people already know that this is a way to deal with such negativity. This is what the "not opening the window" portion of your dream can symbolize. You didn't want to give it power.

Without knowing more about your life that is the best I can come up with. Hope it helps.

With it being so long ago, you may not remember, but what was going on in your life at that point? Was there something that you didn't want this friend to know about you? Did you feel that there was something about you that would repulse others if they knew about it? Did you eat spicy food before bed? There a lot of variables that you may not remember now.

It sounds to me like there was something that you thought or did that you thought would turn others away from you.

It might be that you confided in a friend about a personal issue and she inadvertently blurted out the details to others. This may have embarrassed you and resulted in you becoming overly protective of your inner feelings.

You may have some inner feelings (demons) which you fear may come to the surface and disrupt your current life and/or lifestyle.
