Yes, there are cool gay guys, but you'll have to lay down the law and ensure they don't hit on you. Also, you'll be faced by people who think YOU are gay- so act accordingly.

I'm gay and I have a few straight "boyfriends". They actually like that I am gay. They seem to be cool with the idea. There's not so much bravado between us. It almost seems like they flirt with me but they're just playing. I think it's fun. We can chat about anything. I hear about their girlfriends, they hear about my boyfriends. They could care less who I sleep with, it's the rapport that counts in a friendship.

I can't even tell you which of my friends are gay and which of them are straight, honestly...
I'm pretty good at just hanging out with people I like and figuring them out later...

I had a friend who i suspected of being gay, and then he told me he was gay. I was shocked, even though i suspected it, and i thought, i shouldnt hang out with him anymore, but then i tought, **** it, hes a cool guy, he can cook well, and im not going to be converted, so who cares

I'm straight, and I have hung out with gays.
Nobody hit on me, everyone was cool.
Actually, we had some pretty good parties.
One new girl decided to "convert me back" to the amusement of the guys who knew me

Sure why not? I have no problem with people, it would only bother me if they hit on me...that would be creepy.
