Talk to ur friend about it first, most likely she'll say it's ok but it's probably not. I did that when I was in high school, my friend didn't have a problem at first but when she seen how close me and my boyfriend were getting she just gradually stopped talking to me. We are still together, it's been 5 years. Although I lost a friend I dont regret it because I gained the love of my life.

You should do whatever. Talk it over with your friend and make sure it's okay with her. Then, if you really like him you should go out with him anyway.
