I use strictly NVIDIA. I play World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies, and numerous other single player games on my computer. The NVIDIA seem to have a better refresh rate and better color compared to ATI of the same version.

Ok, this is similar to asking which is better, Ford or Chevy. Both camps have a strong following, and both make great products. Nvidia offers SLI for those wishing to run a pair of graphics cards in parallel, and ATI's CrossFire accomplishes the same thing in a different way. As far as who makes the fastest card at the moment, it's Nvidia and their 8-series monsters, but as we all know in the GPU world that changes overnight and could very well be ATI tomorrow. Do your homework, and research the games you will be anticipating playing and their requirements. BTW, guy who said his 5200 will play all but the newest games, get a new card 5200's are ancient and i've thrown away faster cards than that :-P

NVIDIA is the most popular but it really depends on your need as far as graphics go. The size and performance of the card can be the same with both manufacturers but from what I have seen, NVIDIA is a little more expensive than ATI.

It depends on what you want to play, and your budget. Under $100 go with NVIDIA, for high end top of the line $300 cards the ATI will win. I use nvidia mad dog 5200x and it handles all but the newest games.

OK..this is what I got :
nvidia SLI 7800 and the performance is excellent.
I'm playing BF2 , BF2142 and MOHPA and I'm running all those games at full settings...
and there is always the option to install a second nvidia SLI card ..they come with a little device (bridge) to make them work togheter as a unit.

Neither of those playing cards is sturdy for any gaming in any respect. The ASUS-made ATI-designed (i assume that's a Radeon) 3450 card is slightly more beneficial useful, yet do not assume to play Mass outcome on severe settings with that. you shouldn't be able to play Mass outcome in any respect with the Gigabyte-made GeForce 6200.
