watch cleaning help!?

the strap of my watch is a white cloth while the inside is leather. the white part is getting really dirty! How can i wash the strap without damaging the leather? i tried using plain water but the strap got really soggy AND it began to peel off from the leather! help me!

Try using a washcloth and some kind of gentle stain remover. just don't soak the band. :-)
