My friend had a sexless marriage, but she managed to keep friends with her husband. Did you?

I tried to keep on good terms with my ex-wife. But she told me she didn't really want to keep in touch. The last time I talked to her was to tell her I was getting remarried. I told her I wanted her to hear it from me rather than get surprised hearing it from someone else. She appreciated that. I haven't talked to again her in 17 years.

Yes. I had befriended his ex, while we were dating, because they weren't friendly and shared a child. So after our marriage was over we remained friends. My husband and I would invite my ex to birthday parties, some family functions, get-togethers, etc. This was great for the first 3-4yrs after my husband and I got married. My ex even dated a family friend of my husband's when we first started dating.
Unfortunately, he remarried. The 3rd wife did not get along with her ex, and did not agree with any of us being friends. This hurt the children more than anyone, but divorces are usually messy, even if it takes a while.

Yes, we are great friends. We had a good marriage, never faught, sex was great, but there was no communication. That was the only thing wrong. I was starved for communication.
He still doesnt know how to communicate, but his gf doesnt mind I guess. But, we are good friends. Why be bitter? It just didnt work and we grew apart from lack of communication.
No need in carrying bitterness about it. I loved being married to him. He was a great guy, but sometimes love isnt enough, ya know?

NO!! My ex-husband was a lunatic and tried to run me over!! Not the kind of man I wanted or needed as a friend!! lol - Really bad choice for a husband too.....lmao

Not friends, enemies is even a mild turn. First 6 years after my divorce live was hell dealing with him. Haven't heard from him in 4 years now, life is grand.

I'm being told it's really hard next to impossible. I'm trying to mediate to keep things from getting out of control and I'm not sure it's going to work.

I have no idea where my ex husband is as he abandoned me so no i am not friends with him because of this.
