This is kind of a dumb question, but I'm only a teenager, and I feel I need to start.

Hey Johnny, It really helps if you sort your clothes. Later you can use bins or laundry baskets to sort as they get dirty to save you time. White go with whites only. Color goes with color and then there are dark colors.Check the labels for the care instructions when your up to it. All washing machines do a good job on clothes. Do not overload the machine so that your clothes will come out cleaner and the transmission isn't stressed. You will also avoid the machine from getting unbalanced in which it will stop until you remove the extra clothing. Fill the machine 3/4 full with clothes. If you have stains, you can buy a pretreater or make a paste of dry detergent and water and place it on the stain prior to loading the machine. Liquid detergents can be rubbed in to the stain. It doesn't take much. Put the detergent in with the amount recommended on the label on the bottle or box. Choose the temperature you need. Most things like tee shirts and jeans do well in warm water. The machine may use cold water in the rinsing stage. Reserve hot for whites like socks, under wear. Towels should be lined dried because they take a lot of dryer time if a liquid fabric softener was used. Shake them out before hanging Socks and underwear can be hung to dry also. Many machines don't warn you about the rinse cycle. At this time a fabric softener is added. If you don't have any, use 1 cup of white vinegar which works well and doesn't leave its smell. Some people just use dryer sheets in the dryer. As soon as everything is washed and dried, shake them out and fold or hang asap. Clothes wrinkle when left for a period of time in a pile. Play with the machines a bit. Sometimes there may be too many options. Warm wash/cool rinse works for most fabrics. You will do great. It's nice to know that you are helping out. Do other things while your laundry is being washed like home work just to get the yucky tasks done so that you have time to relax and have fun. Load it again when one load is in the dryer to save time. Check your laundry every 20 minutes if it doesn't have an alarm. Get it done and out of the way.

OK, first you need to separate your clothes into three piles: colored clothes, dark clothes and white clothes. Colored clothes are usually washed with warm water, whites with hot water and darks with cold water. Try to wash red clothes by themselves because they tend to bleed the red color onto other clothes, especially if the red clothes are new. Now set your washer to the temperature of water that you want and turn on the washer so the washer fills up with water. Add your laundry detergent to the water in your washer first and then add your clothes. That's really about it. Good Luck. You will learn as you go along about certain clothes items that need to be washed on Delicate so that they don't get all jacked up.

you set the washer to the settings that you need like if you have a small load of clothes (make sure they are all the same color keep whites with whites colors with colors) then put it on the small cycle under the load side then on the wash side put it on light. put a half of cup of detergent in the washer the wash/rinse one should be on warm/cold then off you go washing your clothes. If you have a bigger load to wash then you would put it on medium wash with a large load size. and so on good luck always read the tags on the back of your clothes!!!

When my son was sixteen he joined the air force it was an obligation that each rookie learn the basic method of washing and ironing. I taught him the basics eg: whites in first fill machine put in soap powder let cycle wash/rinse take clothes out put in dyer and let drying cycle run. take out items fold and put in correct drawers hanging shirts etc. I am not laughing at you because I saw some funny coloured 'white singlets turn grey' until he got the hang of it. Try some old jeans and heaver stuff that won't be wrecked first before you try your best shirt. Good luck.

Oh, that is good.
Bucket of warm water with some washing powder (how much you need will be written on the back) but not too much. Soak clothes in water for a short while. Then don't rub but kind of quish the clothes in the water until all the dirt is gone and the water looks dirty. Rinse many times until the water is clean. Hang up to dry.

Definitely separate whites from colors. Then for colors separate darks from light so colors don't run. always follow clothes tags , so you don't dry something and it shrinks. this isn't a stupid question I have ruined clothes in the past. And It's never too young to start he;ping out your self

first you separate them into like colors,so that the colors will not bleed onto each other.then you put them in the washing machine.put the amount detergent that it says to on the package and turn the washing machine on and let it do the work! for whites you will need to use bleach!
