ok so around 3 o clock today my brother. my grandpa and i heard a loud crashing noise. about 10 mins ago my brother went into his bathroom to discover what the noise was. The lightbuld above the sink had some how fallen into the sink and totally shattered....


how is it possible for the lightbulb to just randomly fall out of its little socket thing???

Probably each time you closed the door on the medicine cabinet, vibrations reached the light socket. If the bulb wasn't snug, it could loosen over time.

Another answerer mentioned that it sometimes happens that the glass part separates from the socket. That happened to me once. I was studying late at night, probably physics. The bulb landed in my lap. It was hot. I was dressed for bed (undressed for bed).

Unless you believe in ghosts, the only way that bulb could have fallen out is if it wasn't screwed in all the way. Did you look to see if the screw-in socket had come out along with the glass part of the bulb? It's possible, although pretty rare, that the bulb could have popped.

If you didn't screw it in correctly in the first place there is no reason why it wouldn't.
