When I was about 8 years old, i was chubby-fat. It was bad enough the kids at school called me fattie, when i went to my Aunts house, all my relatives were there and her friends, about 30 people. She took out her scale in front of everyone and told me, get on it i just want to see how much you weigh. I felt like crying and everyone laughed when she read my weight and called me fatso. After that happened, I started throwing my food away at school and i would starve myself. i lost about 30 pounds i remember. I've always struggled with low self-esteem.

Child Abuse: You have family and relatives (your family are people that are positive and true love and relatives are that blood line you can not help)You answer your own question because it cause you to have low self-esteem and she was only your aunt. Your parents did the same thing too evidently.
That is just the way relatives do and because children have no say or just do not Know any better in hurts. You remember it later and it could make you a better parent for your children and teach them to say NO! I NOT!

I had a mean aunt like that when I was a kid...I guess she felt good only by degrading others and not by upgrading herself. Her friends laughed cause an idiot person only attracts idiots friends that would laugh at such a thing. Yes it is child abuse to me...verbal abuse. I am sorry you went through that but I am more sorry that you are related to that aunt of yours.

GEEEZ AMMM SOOOO SORRY FOR THAT. PEOPLE CAN BE SO DAMN CRUEL. EVEN FAMILIES MEMBERS. AS FOR YOUR QUESTION, YES THAT IS EMOTIONAL ABUSE. IS BAD ENOUGH YOUR MOTHER DOESNT CARE FOR YOU AND LEAVES YOU BEHIND WITH YOUR AUNT WHO HAPPENDS TO BE A IDIOT, IF YOU DONT MIND ME SAYING SO, SHE NEEDS TO BE TOUGHT A LESSON IN HOW EMOTIONAL SCARS CAN DESTROY ANY PERSON.

BUT YOU MUST REMEBER, GOD LOVES ALL WITH ALL OUR DEFECTS AND BELIEVE ME WE ALL HAVE OUR DEFECTS. MAYBE SOME HAVE MORE THAT OTHERS. YOUR AUNT SHE HAS HER DEFECTS MAYBE MORE THAN SHE CAN RELATE. GOD DID NOT MADE A MISTAKE WHEN HE SENT YOU HERE. THERE IS A GOOD REASON WHY YOUR HERE AMONG THE LIVING.

SO PLEASE DONT STOP EATING BECAUSE YOU COULD END UP WITH A DISEASE THAT COULD KILL YOU. YOU WANT TO LOOSE WEIGHT THEN ASK A COUSELOR IN SCHOOL TO HELP YOU, EAT HEALTHY. THERE ARE WAYS OF LOOSING WEIGHT. ALSO YOU CAN WALK, AND DO SOME EXCERSICE.

I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD.

Yes that was mental abuse for sure,,and she should be ashamed of herself....how disgusting she could be to you. Be happy the way you are and dont let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. Your aunt has got issues and and shes a bad person for doing that to her own niece!!!

That is emotional abuse! It's refered to as tormenting! That is just horrible! I feel for you. You might want to see a counselor for your low self-esteem.

Good luck,

Lose the baggage, too. Why live in the past and allow this to cloud your future? Don't hinge your SELF-esteem on other people's actions. Self-esteem is from your SELF

i wouldn't say it is child abuse but it is very cruel and emotinally devestating....starving yourself to diet isn't the answer to weight loss and neither is blaming others for it....you need to set up a good diet plan....avoid junk foods and soda....exercise regularily and find things to do that make you happy....self esteem is made from within and true happiness isn't based on happenings....it is based on character....having good health with increse your esteem...your pride was hurt and your emotions were hurt....sometimes when people do things like you described they have deep rooted problems and do things like that for attention....pray for her and go on being happy and healthy
