I have one and just put two bettas in and they are all puffed up - which is cool but is it too stressful for long periods of time? (They can see each other but not get to each other)

long periods of time spent flaring can harm them, but simple solution is to plant the tank well with silk or real plants. put quite a few on each side of the divider so they can only see each other if they try. then when they get stressed they can swim out of view.

No. A a million gallon bowl is fully beside the point for housing some factor. With diligent partial water adjustments you in all probability in a position to hold a tiny little ramshorn snail with some stay vegetation, besides the fact that if i might nonetheless now no longer even recommend that. Bettas desire a minimum of a 2.5, besides the fact that if ideally a 5 gallon or greater suitable tank with low glide filtration and a heater. you're no longer in a position to heat a bowl that small. you are able to not even heat a tank that small. there is not any secure strategies-set to maintain the water at a balanced temperature, and a heater in besides the fact that that small might fry your fish. additionally, shrimp are very comfortable to ammonia, and can do horribly in an unfiltered setup on the grounds that there might desire to be no strategies-set to end a maximum superb cycle. Cherry shrimp additionally do no longer feed on algae till they're desierate. the only shrimp this is a great algae eater is the amano shrimp. And in any case, moss and algae are 2 unique issues. quicker or later, utilising water from a cycled tank does little or no for a clean setup, if something in any respect. lots of the organic and organic technique relies in the filter out media and the gravel.

most of the bettas I've had prefered non divided tanks, and being with my other fish. The main thing I watch for is if they fight, then I seperate them.

That is a quite stressful situation for them that will eventually lead to health problems for the fish. For a hour or so isn't a problem, but long term it is.
