Unfortunately most make up is made out of by-products of dead animals. It's pretty disgusting and I didn't believe it at first either. What happens is they put all the by products of dead animals in a rendering plant and all the fat that rises to the surface is them sold to different companies and Yes to cosmetic companies that use this as the filler in the production of make up because it makes a great base and is cheap.

So either don't lick your lips or you might want to be safe buy botanical products .

I been really lucky and found some amazing products from a company called Arbonne. All Arbonne products are Botanically based, formulated without animal products or by-products. Never tested on animals, hypoallergenic and PH correct. I love their make-up as it has no perfumes or dyes that can irritate and the colors are great and it go on so smooth which is important to me being an ex-model. My favorite is the Mineral powder foundation. I love their stuff so much that I switch all my make up and skin care and even became a consultant with them to get their discount of 35%.

If your interested in Arbonne products you can check them out on-line but you'll need to sign up through a consultant to purchase anything. So if you like the look of their stuff send me a message and I'd be happy help you sign up to get the discount that I have or with any questions you may have.
