The best sounding guitars are not cheap ones, Gibson makes the Best Guitars Period. but I'm sure you can find cheap ones all over. go to Guitar Center or ck your local thrift stores. They get new used stuff all the time.

I am a professional guitar player, for over 30yrs, and I have found, that Hohner, makes real low priced guitars that sound really good, just look at their prices, the next in line would be the Ibanez, models, they are almost as low priced, but they play real good!! try those, because I know they play good, and I know you will like their prices!!

I used to have a great Martin that is pretty close to what you described, but you're not going to get a really nice guitar for that price range. I got mine thrift, and it was still pretty steep. You should either get a Martin, (my favorite) or stick with a Gibson. Check out you'r used music shops or secondhand stores.

johnson puts out a cheap flat top. not the very bottom, but the next level should be playable. i inherited one that was the cheapest, and its a piece of sh#t, but the next level up should be ok. i think they list for about 150.
