130,000 in the bank = Yes.
Jimmy Carter as president = No.
You weren't alive when Jimmy Carter was president, were you? Well anyone who was, even if they like the man, should know better than to think this would be a good idea.

Unfortunately under the Carter presidency, if you had $130,000 in the bank, you would have had to pay about $80,000 into taxes, leaving you about $50,000 in the bank, and wishing Carter wasn't president anymore.

better yet own a house. I bought a house pre Carter for $37,000 and sold it for $127,000 a few years later.
Problem is the banks aren't giving you enough to keep up and the Government ha taken energy and housing out of the CPI so you loose again.

Peanuts, I'd rather have G. Bush and 60 billion in the bank instead. What can you do with one hundred and thirty thousand dollars? Think Bigger!!
