I'm worried because we are trying to get pregnant and I don't know if I actaully ovulate or not. I know that a woman can have her period regularly (like I do) and not necessarily ovulate, so I was wondering if I could determine that with an ovulating kit.

The ovulation kit measures a hormone that spikes just before you ovulate. If you tested for an entire cycle, and never saw a positive test, according to the directions, or if you always saw the same, positive appearing result, it could indicate a problem, though most doctors would recommend doing this for more than one cycle, as it's not unusual for people to sometimes have an anovulatory cycle. You might consider using OPKs with other fertility charting signs-BBT, cervical mucous/position/texture, to give a broader picture of what's actually going on with your cycle. You can find out more about charting from the website fertilityfriend.com or the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility

Yes, an ovulation predictor will tell you your peak ovulation day. You can also use a basal body temperature chart, which I am sure you could find online.
