it says that no disc burner or software was found....HELP it used work perfectly now it doesnt read anything i put in CD or DVD neither one it doesnt read???????

Open your PC, unplug the ribbon cable from it. Boot into your operating system. Let it sit there for a little bit. Turn off your PC, and plug it in again. Boot up. It should reinstall your disc drive again and that should make it work.

if you recently updated the driver for the burner i would do a system restore point provided that you actually did update drivers or other software obtaining to the burner, other than that its probably just burned out...(hehe little pun sorry) and you probably need to replace it

This happens to me when I am connected to the internet. When I turn off the internet I can read or copy to a disk.
