What would happen if a bunch of countries got together and invaded the USA????

The billionaires of our military industrial complex would throw a huge party with all their pet Senators and Representatives present. We'd declare war and drag all our treaty obligated allies into it making it another global conflict. A bunch of our young men would die. We'd win the war. The rich would get richer, taxes would go up even higher and stay that way after the war to be squandered on more bureaucratic paper shuffling in the morning golf in the afternoon jobs for politicians' and other connected individuals' Ivy League C student sons, daughters, son in laws, etc. The poor and average would get poorer, but win the war and be proud of winning the war, and we'd keep on keeping on until taxes reached 100%, inflation couldn't be used to balance the books anymore, and the whole mess collapsed under its own weight. Rosy picture eh?

Who is going to invade the USA? Most countries, even if they hate us, rely on the USA's economy for their own well-being.

The only militaries in the world that are even capable of invading the USA are allies. China has a large army, but little means to move them in mass amounts all over the world as the US Army does.

We also have nuclear weapons that would be certain to be used in a dire situation.

The only countries that have the will to "invade the USA" and hate us that much are middle eastern countries that could only invade with WW II-era equipment. That isn't going to go far, is it?

Well I would be scared like yourself, but you must understand something. We have one of the biggest assets in the world, a friend of all friends, a country that would aid us in any assult! The strongest of nations and the most well armed by far. You see, my friend, there is no need to fear.

An invasion by any country would mean immediate annihilation of that country. No one wants that. So the US is secure from foreign invasion.

I worry every once in awhile that bush is setting us up for that, specifically by the logic he uses to try to justify invading and occupying iraq. i just don't get why so many americans think that one thing is good for us, and the rest of the world has to follow a different standard. but, see, i was raised a military brat and traveled the world, so it corrupted me...

America has too much aid helping out other countries for that to ever happen. We spend too much money to help 3rd world countries and basically all countries of the world.
