First off, homo means "the same" and hetero means "different". So homogynous means it has two of the same genes. If you are looking for a blue-eyed stud because you want blue-eyed horses look for one that is homogynous blue-eyed because your foal is more likely to be blue eyed.

I know how great foals are and everything and I really want to breed my mare but I'm not going to becuase think about horse slaughter and how many unwanted horses there are. Why don't you adopt a PMU foal?

Homozigus that has a factor for color. When you breed to a homozigus they usually will give you a %99.9 on color & if its solid which hardly happens will give you a free breeding. My mare had 2 blue eyes the homozigus did not I didnt get blue eyes but a sharp tri color paint.

homozygous is a term that means that the alleles for a trait are both dominant or both recessive.
