Resurrection Eggs
Simply buy a bag of plastic eggs and place the items listed below into each egg. Hide the eggs around the house (or you could hide them around the Primary Room) and allow the children to find them all. Then have each child open their egg and discuss what the items in each egg represent. You may want to number the eggs so that you remember the correct order to open them.
Egg 1:
Three dimes
A small piece of paper with the following verse reference:
(Matthew. 26:14)
14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
Egg 2:
One sacrament cup
A small piece of paper with the following verse reference:
(Matt. 26:39)
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
(the rest of the eggs and what is in them is found at the link below, if this looks like what you might be interested in)

When I think of past easter egg hunts I have been in, I remember that it was the hunt for the eggs themselves which was fulfilling. Now I know you probably know thats what a hunt is , but sometimes the hunt is made too simple. and a lot of children find the eggs right away. Especially the older kids. I think the hunt should be made in several divisions, depending on age. and make the eggs hard to find for the older kids. It wont hurt to have a special egg along the way. Good luck in your hunt.

We get these different colored plastic eggs that comes apart and we put a nice prize inside, and mix these plastic eggs in with the others. If you have several kids to hunt the eggs, sort of divide them up from the older kids from the younger one so that the younger kids have a fair chance.

Inasmuch as Easter Eggs and an Easter Egg Hunt are pagan rituals, it would probably be a good idea to find a more appropriate program for your church.

A Christian church don't have a Easter egg hunt, as eggs are not approximately Jesus Christ and His resurrection, this is the main suitable topic. Eggs and bunnies are symbols of fertility, the arrival of spring, and area of the pagan thank you to have fun the arrival of spring. i'm Lutheran.

do you really think jesus would be pleased with a church doing an easter egg hunt? really, come on people.
that has to be one of the most offensive things i've heard.
jesus (death and) resurrection is the most important thing to happen for mankind. what a solemn occasion the rememberance of this should be.
looking for plastic colored eggs laid by a bunny rabbit is absolutely ridiculous, let alone the origins of worshipping the pagan god of fertility from what hence easter was derived.
how about you read the bible at church instead, and discuss the meaning of the emblems jesus used at the last supper when they observed the passover.
bleh :p
christendom.

Have everyone hunt for the eggs (duh, lol) then, give EVERYONE a prize, whether it be candy, stuffed animals whatever, so noone feels leftout. Then, give a special prize to the kid who found the egg with the gold coin or whatever...hope it helps.
