So I installed windows vista into my e-machines operating system. 2 weeks later it completely crashed, then few days ago, when i turn it on, the screen is absolutely blank and nothing shows up and it says "going to sleep mode". so basically it turns on without showing anything on the monitor screen. im currently using another computer in the house, but i would really like some help! any computer wiz's know how to fix this? i think it might be an internal problem.

You probably have a hibernation problem. If you have less than 1GB of RAM this problem is common, since Vista uses 1GB for hibernation. Try pressing F8 and reboot in safe mode and then use system restore otherwise simply reinstall vista.

Yes it does sound like an internal problem. Video card, motherboard, cpu or memory. You will need a spare video card,CPU, and memory to troubleshoot. Find a reputable PC repair person, they will have the parts to troubleshoot the problem. Good luck.

I think you are having a lower capacity of ram for installing windows Vista.you must need atleast 512 MB ram for storing the basic version on win Vista. So i think this must be your problem. If you have ram with lower capacity try upgrading your ram.
