Where abouts in Europe are you going?

It is not a small place, and there is so much to see. It also depends on what you like. Personally I like architecture and churches. Europe is really good for this, also food. When looking for a place to eat, go to places filled with locals.

Europe is filled with history so there is plenty of oppurtunity to see historical sites, but also there is a mass of modern art, fashion. Shopping feature highly, and just as you can easily buy top level designer clothes, you can also get much cheaper, less well known fashions. You can get out and into the country side, perfect if you are a bit arty. Find a river and create the picture to take home.

It would take years to see and appreciate everything Europe has to offer.

My advice is to think of what you enjoy, then look into how the country/ies you are visting can accommodate this.

Europe isnt exactly a small country wer u can explore in a week or 2.If u really wanna know what u shudnt miss, then i suggest u to try to make friends from ppl from the countries that ure interested in,so that they can take u to local spots instead of doing touristy things. It also depends on wot interest u the most?History?Buildings?Art?Music? Once u can determine wot u really want to see/explore only then u can know wot places u wud wanna head to.If u really want something outta the ordinary?Visit Stockholm's infamous Absolut Ice Bar at the Nordic Sea Hotel.Where u can see how a whole bar is made from ice, from the walls down to the glasses.Cheers!

It really depends on how long you're going to be there and what your price range is. If you're going to be there for awhile, I would say go to the major cities: London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Prague, etc., etc. The tourist spots, while sometimes crowded, are must-sees. If you get there really early, before they even open, you're sure to get in. We went to the Louvre in Pairs and got there early; we were the fifth in line. Buy some guidebooks to learn about other things off the beaten path; also do some research online. Hope you have a good time!

There are a great style of scenic places throughout Europe - it could be demanding to circulate incorrect no remember the place you prefer to circulate to. what's maximum captivating extremely relies upon on your concept. you would be waiting to take surprising photographs in very virtually everywhere. i've got been living in Italy for the final 13 years and characteristic hundreds of hundreds of imagery to coach for it. I consistently have a minimum of one small digicam that i'm able to slot in a pocket with me. quite right here in Italy, there are Cinque Terre. the Amalfi Coast, the Alps & Dolomiti, the lakes, and different captivating nation-state. Bavaria is a captivating area to me ... or Eze in France. Or there is Prague fort with the sunsetting in the back of it in the summertime. once you're in Europe in April, then circulate to the Netherlands and notice Keukenhof backyard. you would be wanting a great time no remember the place you choose - there are exciting issues to work out, do and consume very virtually everywhere you prefer to circulate. Hit the bookstores and skim the return and forth area to work out what strikes your fancy.

What exactly is your time frame and budget? Get that straightened out first because you can lose track of time and money very easily when you're having fun travelling...And honestly, don't think you can see "everything" in one shot...not very realistic... In Europe you can find a wide range of things to satisfy a wide range of interests...
To give you an idea....If you want wild, crazy, unbridled partying and sex...go to Amsterdam, Netherlands...if and when you come up for air there...you can go see the Anne Frank museum, the Rijksmuseum and the Van gogh museum.
If changing of the guard and the prospect of having tea with the Queen peaks your fancy, then go to London...no...actually London is really cool...Big Ben, Parliament buildings, British Museum (wicked Egyptian collection), Westminster Abbey, Tower of London (Royal Jewels, cool armoury, bloody tales), Oxford Street (great shopping), Harrod's (well it's Harrod's!), Hyde Park, Eye of London, St. Paul's Cathedral all worth seeing!
France...God where to begin...Paris - Montmartre (nice views of city from Sacré Coeur, artists, cafés), Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame (Hunchback), La Sainte Chapelle, Champs Elysées, Versailles (outside of Paris actually), Louvre (classical art), Musée d'Orsay (impressionist art)...Then you've got Provence, castles of the Loire Valley, Côte d'Azur, Normandy (Mont Saint Michel is an absolute must in that area as well as Deauville and Trouville), Brittany (best crêpes)....
Belgium - Brussels (La Grande Place and it's old guild bars...about 200 different beers brewed in each one), Bruges, and Ghent.
Then you've got Spain...really it's hard to narrow it down in that country...basically you've got to see everything....(Madrid - amazing art museums, Barcelona, Toledo, Seville - good for tapas and flamenco, Cordoba, Granada, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands...just to name a few....)
Italy...Rome (St. Peter's basilica, Colisieum, Vatican...etc.), Orvieto (1 hr north of Rome...up on a cliff, amazing church with gold facade), Venice, Trieste, Pyrenees (ex. Corte d'Ampezzo) Pisa (As in Leaning tower of...), Florence, Amalfi Coast, Milan....
Greece...Athens (Acropolis, Plaka, museums), islands....
Switzerland....the Alps, Lucerne, Zermatt
Austria...Salzburg (Mozart festival in particular), Innsbruck
Germany....Rhine Valley (good wine tasting), Berlin, Heidelburg (University town), Munich, Frankfurt...etc....
Portugal....Lagos, Algarve, Lisbon, Elvas (Church made entirely of bones...really cool and creepy)
Croatia...Dubrovnik, Sveti Stefan (medieval towns with amazing beaches...water like in the Caribbean almost...
Hungary...Budapest...all of it (take a river cruise down the Danube
Romania...well actually you can skip that...although there are nice castles and mountains in Transylvania...
Turkey....Istanbul....
And I could go on and on...These are all essential European tourist spots...My suggestion: stick to 2 or 3 countries close together (You can get rail passes for this) - for example: the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg) and explore them as thoroughly as possible. Then make another trip to Europe and see another 2 or 3 countries...

I know you don't want to visit the touristy areas but please consider at least one. You have to see Venice for its uniqueness. It is very different than any other city in the world. :)
