Nature vs. Nurture. How you are brought up. The chemicals in your brain (I am serious with this). You may have been taught how to problem solve better than others. There are many reasons.

I too have had a hard life but I am genuinely happy most of the time. I have also have been treated for depression, so I can see both sides of the coin I suppose.
My husband generally sees the dark and evil in things, that is his nature. I am not sure if he was born that way or if his life changed him at a young age. If life changed him, why is it that I am still fairly happy? Could it be that I still have hope? I know God and my husband does not. Maybe that is it?
I guess my answer is I have no answer.

They may have major depression that has never been diagnosed. It is sometimes very hard to be around these kind of people.I have a neighbor lady who is just miserable. She never see anything as positive. I've known many people over the years who have suffered one or another kind of mental illness or personality disorder, and I have never in my years of working with people who are as sad.

It all depends on their physiology. Some people roll with all the punches and still have a smile on their face. While some people take life much more seriously. And others have a chemical imbalance which makes them freak out over every little thing.

it's just their personality.
also, some people have seen a lot of happy things in their life, or had lots of support and it's the opposite for others, so they just get used to being sad or happy.
i'd say i'm a little bit of both, but more on the sad side. at least, at home i am...

I guess it's like their nature to either be the one looking for the bright side (optimistic) and the one looking at the dark side (pessimistic). It's kinda cool in a way, because you can see things in different ways..although being optimistic helps a lot =)

some people have non everlasting well-being themes that ward off the conventional production of "sense sturdy" chemical compounds like serotonin. this is generally led to with the help of a variety of issues, from weight-help plan to an infection to pollution. a doctor can help discover the reason, yet i desire to recommend something different than a psychiatrist. they're going to easily supply you a drug that mask the indicators with the help of artificially generating greater "sense sturdy" chemical compounds.
