I knew a boy named Saylor, and a girl named Scout. I'd give them a different first letter.

Scout is associated with the character of the young girl Scout ( Jean Louise Finch ) in " To Kill a Mockingbird" so I always think it is a girl's name. The "Saylor" I don't warm to because of the connotations when people say to a member of the navy " Hello Sailor !"
So, ask yourself whether your children will thank you for these names.

Savannah and Scott
Sallie and Seth
Taylor Scout and Trevor Sal
Paige Scout and Paxton Scott

I do agree that they do sound a little like pet names, but in the long run they are your kids and what makes you happy is what counts the most. Other people will learn to love them too when they get to know the babies.
