I'm not surprised. As a contractor, I see religious statements drawn on the inside of job-site toilets! It's embarrassing how some people go about being a witness to their particular faith.

I just told my husband of this unusual question on Yahoo! and he laughed. He said the numbers were probably the part numbers and not a message from some Bible-toting employee of the plunger manufacturing company.
P.S. -- With your additional info, maybe it IS some Bible-toting "owner" of a plunger manufacturing company. It's really kind of clever--handle of plunger, handle on life...

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Normally, I'd fail to see what that had to do with toilets, but I did a little research.

There's a footnote in John's manuscript that reads thusly:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.*"

*And in heaven there shall not be clogged outhouses
