Sorry, but it seems like she's trying to dump you as a friend. You need to find someone or something else to replace her in your life. A new hobby or a new friend.

If she's really your best friend, then you should be able to ask her why she doesn't want to hang out as much anymore. Communication is a key element in any relationship....you can either talk to her about it (because that's part of being friends) or just let the issue go, and stop asking her to hang out...spend time with your other friends and wait for her to ask you to hang out.

Personally, I'd talk to her about it...and then go from there...good friendships are much too important to just let fade away.

I am in the same situation basically. I suggest talking to her- very casually- like, hey, it seems like we never hang out anymore.. what's up? But she might give you a BS excuse. In that case, either directly talk to her (which you don't want to do) or try to get the dirt from a friend of her's.. But eventually, the case is that you're growing apart. She's most likely bored of your friendship.. You might feel the same way and want to hang out of obligation more than actual desire? Even if not, you probably don't want to hang out with someone who doesn't want to hang out with you. It's a sad situation.. Try to move on and hang out with other friends more, or make new friends. You'll probably find out that you have more in common with them than you realized.
