Yes i wish everyone felt the same way. Why would anyone support killings, especially of children?..i mean that's what war is!...It is a simple equation if we STOP WAR = PEACE. Why dont these people that decide on the war ,send their whole family there and see what kind of life that is...pointless. We all need to wake up and stop what is happening..its 2007 when are we going to learn. Bush (US) gov needs to use the $$$ that they wasted on the war towards their country.how about free university education, how about free health care...c'mon even little cuba has this for their people??? WAKE UP

The whole justification for the war has been proven to be false there were no WMD. The emphasis then shifted on bring democracy to the Iragies because they want it. Again a another fabrication from the Bush Whitehouse, they are proving that democracy will not work because the Sunni can never get along with the Shities and visa versa as it has been for thousand of years. We need to bring the troops home and let them resume killing each other, which is what they know best.
This is the USA not the Cheney (AKA Modern Hitler) empire. We are not about taking over the world. First it was Afganistan, then Iraq, then North Korea and Iran. Where next Dick??????? Does Cheney suffer from paranoia? What can we expect from a man who shoots his friends!!!!!!

The war we are fighting is someone else's war. The war with Iran and Arabia.
Arabia has made an unstable nation with it's neighbors for a very long time! We are caught in the cross hairs-so yes, we should be out of there.
No, only that, they did find out that
George Bush wanted to secure an abundant oil field to protect our interests!
So, that is why we are there.
Picture a nerdy guy, taking over another country...that is GB, for a resource that is still valued by cents, not sense, even if lives are lost-that is a greedy bastard at the most.

Iraqis: life is getting better
Marie Colvin

MOST Iraqis believe life is better for them now than it was under Saddam Hussein, according to a British opinion poll published today.

The survey of more than 5,000 Iraqis found the majority optimistic despite their suffering in sectarian violence since the American-led invasion four years ago this week.

One in four Iraqis has had a family member murdered, says the poll by Opinion Research Business. In Baghdad, the capital, one in four has had a relative kidnapped and one in three said members of their family had fled abroad. But when asked whether they preferred life under Saddam, the dictator who was executed last December, or under Nouri al-Maliki, the prime minister, most replied that things were better for them today.

Only 27% think there is a civil war in Iraq, compared with 61% who do not, according to the survey carried out last month.

By a majority of two to one, Iraqis believe military operations now under way will disarm all militias. More than half say security will improve after a withdrawal of multinational forces.

Margaret Beckett, the foreign secretary, said the findings pointed to progress. “There is no widespread violence in the four southern provinces and the fact that the picture is more complex than the stereotype usually portrayed is reflected in today’s poll,” she said.

US troops will be coming home the moment Bush leaves office. The only problem is that it is going to take 2 more years for that to happen.

The caveat Al Maliki extra is a massive one! the US withdrawal from this area should not be as rapid because of the fact the main suitable withdrawal from Korea or Vietnam. the clarification: BLACK GOLD. If we go away, oil expenditures ought to truthfully double or worse interior the span of a few months. this is why the Democrats have not been furiously banging the table stressful for an end to the conflict inspite of having administration of Congress. they do no longer choose to be categorised because of the fact the occasion that had a hand in destabilizing the middle East (and oil expenditures). they choose to go away each and every thing to the Republicans to make a screw up, so as that a Democrat will actually walk into the White homestead come the subsequent election.

If you are liberal or Conservative, the answer should be the same. No! That country will spiral into a civil war and fall under the influence of other regional powers in the middle east. Iraq will truly become a haven for real terrorist groups and thousands of more Innocent Iraqis will die. America made its bed(not just George bush) now lie in it.

If the idea of Taliban and al Qaeda setting up camps to concoct more mischief to wage against the US pleases you, then you could reasonably argue for bringing the troops home now. If not, forget it.
