George - you need to do the research. The Sox have outdrawn the Tigers for every year in at least the last 5. And people do show up, not just tickets sold. Last year they played to 90% capacity, with 26 straight sell outs. Make fun of the Sox all you want, but you are wrong - we go and show up.
And don't even start on construction in Chicago. That is not a funny subject.

Pardon me if I laugh!
Construction on the Ryan??
This happened several years ago, and the White Sox expected a big drop in attendance. Accordingly, they ditched several highly paid veterans and bought up a couple youngher players from the minors.
In other words, they were surrendering.
However, the Sox played well enough to remain in contention, better than expected, most of the season, and attendance actually went UP. The Sox will have to give fans a reason to want to come, like any team, any year.

I have a spendid idea.... simply splendid, if I do say so myself (this is where all of us congratulate ourselves and pat the other on the rear or back ) Isn't that what we were once told by the "quality answerer" on the baseball boards?
I say, the fans and players will be so busy drowning themselves in sorrow due to the fact that the one true Chicago team will steal the spot light and not even win a single series the whole season.... the team will move operations to Vegas and new mascot will be the White Tigers of Sigfield and Roy

hey, shut up. just do some research and see the average fan attendance for the white sox compared to those whinny tigers last year. i think you just need to shut up and GO to the city of chicago. you've never tried there pizza before probably and never hav been to one of there many beaches. so forget anything before 2000 and shut up until the tigers have got a ring this millenium (if it ever happens)
