i'm totally scared about the end of the world. my bro told be it was going to end dec. 21, 2012 b/c many prophesies say that. i'm so scared and dont want it to happen. scientists say the sun will explode in 5 billion years and i would rather have that b/c i will already have been dead. will aliens come and destroy us? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!!!!!

Prophesy is not science. It's just a way for zealots and nutcases to sell books and scare people.
The world is NOT going to end in 2012 or any time soon.

I really don't think you should have any thing to worry aboout if you're living you're life the right way. As they word says when you hear my voice harden not your heart. When God decides the world is over no one can stop it or determine it not a scientist or any prophesy. Think about it if you knew when God was coming back it would take away everything that makes life, life. If you knew when HE was coming back all you had to do was live however you wanted (with no moral, standards,love and all the thing that make life so great.)then just ask God for forgiveness before the world is over.

Your brother was either lying or has been fooled - the world is not ending in 2012. It's a silly superstition some people have based on a misunderstanding of an ancient culture. It's pretty stupid.

Well, there is always a like 1 trillionth chance that the world could come to the end every second, but it is no higher now than in 2012.

Listen i feared this too for along time. but i realized you only live once. everyone is going to die. the only reason that you care is that you think you will die. if i told you that u were going to die in 10 min what would you do? Nothing? would you go outside? Or will you go to your bedroom and crawl under the sheets? it doesnt matter if u die right now or in 90 years.

and to prepare for that if you really value your life that you want to survive read the following...
1. Dont watch Jericho. (What they do is all wrong. they eat food that is infected)
2. Move to rural area. (In a war you try to kill as many people as popular. City=Death... Rural Area= Better survival rate.)
3. Buy Supplies:
Military food or dried food
Water
Duct Tape- it can withstand radiation
A book in theries of how to survive the nuclear fallout ( nobody knows for sure, it never happened yet.)
Pottasiom pills- I think they can help withstand radiation. Google search that to make sure...

Of course the world as we know it is going to end, and empirically it will probably go out in catastrophic style. A second Ice Age, global warming induced tragedy? Who knows--either way we at some point need to come to terms with the inevitable truth--all living things die, including Earth and all her inhabitants.

Big brothers do that. Those predictions should not be a concern to you, There have been many such predictions made in the past and we are still here and many of those people making predictions died of illnesses.
Tell your brother that if he doesn't stop teasing you that the giant asteroid now headed toward Earth that nobody can see yet is going to hit him right in the balls.

Your brother needs to research a Little more before spouting off. The Mayan calender ends 12/21/2012 and what that means it that it begins a new cycle begins that they had never seen before. It could mean anything we do not know. we just have to wait and see. If you are truly worried than research yourself and not depend so much on what your brother says.
