I am looking for a nice hotel in London but not to expensive, it doesnt need to be right in the centre, but is child friendly for my daughter of 7yrs. Also could anyone tell me if Camden Market is opened all week or only at weekends. This is my daughters first time to London and Im trying to look for fun things for her to do, any ideas

Hey, camden is fab and open everyday, but the main markets are only open on the weekends, but nonetheless its always busy! Just keep your bag close! I know a lovely hotel in Cartwright Gardens, Euston-Avalon Hotel and its near Camden and 5 mins walk from Euston or Kings Cross tube. Its in a lovely area and great breakfasts too!.Its also round the corner from the British Musuem which has the mummies-so always fun or the Science museum is great for kids! All musuems and galleries in London are free..Take her to the IMAX cinema in waterloo, its a 3D cinema and v.exciting. Theres all the usual touristy bits, the eye, river cruise etc..have fun!!

The Savoy has the main suitable perspectives of the river, is close to theatre land and a few sturdy eating places. The suites are fantastic and the grill is sturdy. The Metro on Park Lane is greater cutting-area yet no longer so romantic. Sandersons is well-known yet in a naff area of Oxford highway. The Lansborough in the back of Oxford Circus is greater effective. Browns is in the middle of Mayfair and extremely old shaped and snug. (they often used it for BBC era dramas like miss Marple) forget approximately the Dorchester, you are able to hear whats occurring in the room around the corner! Ugh. might favourites are Browns or the Savoy. you are able to no longer beat a splash old shaped type to make you sense specific.

Smooth Hound Systems http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/ lists b&b's around the country. I have always found good b&b's using them and most seem to be child friendly (although I have never had to stay in a b&b in London). Try them as they may have somewhere in your price range.

Go on lastminute.com. You could take her to the zoo, a childrens show/musical, the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus, the science museum, London dungeons, the London Eye.

ok have to ask this - sorry , are you a member of a trades union ? if so they tend to have 'colleges' (or affilliates ) that will let you use , your particular union may not have a 'college' there but as an affilliate of a T U C you could ask one of them . They are reasonably priced and child friendly . Just a thought .
