well there is this guy i have got close to in the past few months and we had planned to go skipping together and his other three guy friends were going to and like it was gonna be me him and his other 3 friends and the day before we were gonna go he told me i cant go cuz i dont know them very well. and i dont but they all know who i am and i know who they are and it really hurt my feelings cuz hes acting like my father. he is like " no you can't go because they dont know you good enogh". i was mad. so y do you think he treated me like that and they are those kinda boys that are bad and always get in trouble so yeah. y did he do that?

having caring attitude doesn't tyrn him into a dad. he knows about them more and even you admit they have a reputation, then why are you adament.
respect his feelings, make a separate programme for the two of you to compensate.
think i'd have done the same.

Well, if they're bad-boy types and you think they might be going out to get into trouble... why would you WANT to be there?
If the two of you had been planning on going out and he dropped the ball on you so he could run around with his buddies, that's a BS reason. However, something similar to this happened with me: my boyfriend asked me to stay home when he was going to a party because there was going to be drinking and he didn't trust the other guys to keep their hands to themselves if the alcohol loosened them up too much. This might also be the case with yourself and your guy-friend, so I wouldn't say that he's acting like your dad but that he's being protective of you, which is great.
It's alright to be angry with him-- especially if he's not willing to explain this better. Since his response was that THEY didn't know you well enough, it may be time to get a little suspicious and ask why that's such an issue.
I mean, it's not like they're going to go mug somebody and they don't want potential witnesses, right?
Ask him for clarification, not us.

sounds like he might be watching out for your best interests and might like you to stay away from certain people for a good reason. They might be doing something that you wont want to be a part of or he knows you should not be a part of bc if they get caught, you'd be in some deep s***! Who really knows, it could be a million diff things...You'll soon see probably. Everything happens for a reason so don't get too uptight about this sort of thing. It might just save your life and reputation someday.. Go with the flow you might say..

Well if u r thinking he doesn't like u then i think u r wrong. Many time this happens ppl never realize that they r in love or something but in actual they r. If he cares about u that much then definitely he want more then friendship. I am not saying that there is only relation of that love between boyfriend & girlfriend. But love can be different type it may be between brother & sister, between father & daughter etc... and something there is a relation which is not having any name but its kind of emotional relation which make u to care about others.

Well he does know his friends more than you do, so maybe he was trying to protect you in a way, but the best thing to do is confront him with it, even if it is hard, it's better to ask him about it other than getting mad and blowing up at him about it. Just be calm if you decide to talk to him

Either his friends told him they don't want a girl with them, but it can also mean he's a bit jealous and wants you only for himself....he's afraid some of the other guys might take an interest in you. I kind of think he has a crush on you...=)

He did that because he is a true friend and really CARES for you. He may even have the hots for you but if not it is probably a very thin line at this point.

When his friends found out you were going they probably told him they didn't want a girl going along.
It doesn't sound like he's acting like your father, it sounds like he just changed his mind about you going.
