Well, I guess it was too much to hope for that this wouldn't become a political commentary. I'm wondering how many of the people that are critical have ever actually been there? It isn't fair to judge a people based on the political decisions their leaders make. And I mean that all around, not just for the French.

I've been several times. All over. From northern France and the Loire Valley to the southern resort towns. It's always been a wonderful experience. Nice people, lots of culture, fabulous food and wine. OH but one word. FOOD!!!!!!!

A great place to learn French, I'd think. I've always wanted to go. For me, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of France is Paris, but that's not necessarily the main attraction. I love French wine, music, movies and would love to speak the language. The French are another example of the wonderful diversity of humanity.
Add French bread, cheese and coffee to that list!

I love France. Being a Hispanic, I do have French blood in me, although not as much as Spanish blood.

I think it would be a cool place to go! France has fresh food, no places where they suggest what is getting cold!

When the chips are down as in WWI and WWII France folds and wants someone to bail them out. When France is asked for assistance with any problem they don't want to get involved.
